As a native Texan, I grew up in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. I am the youngest child of wonderful Christian parents who have been married for over fifty years. I had a wonderful childhood, and considered myself blessed to have such wonderful parents who raised me in the ways of the Lord. I started my education at University of Texas in Arlington, and during that time through my employment I met my husband, Jim. Our daughter, Kassi, was born in 1980, and she has been the greatest joy of my life. After twenty-five years of marriage, Jim was diagnosed with terminal lung and brain cancer and passed away in 2001. Although I had a very successful career as a Corporate Controller in the manufacturing sector, after my husband’s death, I decided to go back to school to finish my undergraduate degree in Business Management at LeTourneau University, graduating in 2004. I graduated on May 15, 2008 from Dallas Baptist University with a Master of Arts in Organizational Management. My future plans are to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in the fall of 2008 to acquire a Leadership Certificate in Women’s Ministry. Currently I bring over twenty years of experience as a Corporate Controller to this ministry, and it is my desire and hope through God’s leadership to use this experience in the development of this ministry.

“It’s all about me.”  As an only child of loving Christian parents it was truly “all about me.”  I grew up in a wonderful home with hardworking parents who made sacrifices so I could go to Christian schools.  I came to know the Lord as a child at my home church, Arlington Park Baptist.  I graduated from Forth Worth Christian in 1998 and chose to go to college at Angelo State University (ASU) in San Angelo, Texas.  While home for the summer of 2001 Dad was diagnosed with terminal lung and brain cancer without warning.  It was Dad’s hope to see me graduate from ASU with a Bachelor’s degree in Education.  Sadly, Dad died four weeks before my December 14, 2001 graduation.  After graduation, I moved back home to help my Mom through the transition of losing my Dad.  I immediately started attending Texas Women’s University in Denton seeking my Master’s of Library Science.  In May of 2003, after graduating, I began my teaching career.  I currently teach English as second language (ESL) in my home town of Mansfield, Texas.  Unfortunately in the summer of 2004, I met an individual, who without me realizing it, would alter the path of my life.  Through his deceit and manipulation, I became a prodigal child pulled away from the Lord that I loved and a Mom who adored me.  It is because of the awesome God I serve, I am able to share my story of a prodigal child’s return home.  It is my goal to use this experience to help other young adults realize God never leaves us, even when we desert Him—He is waiting and watching for our return.  Luke 15:20

“It’s not an easy job being a PRINCESS but somebody’s got to DO IT!” That’s my life theme (it’s on my keychain), although my family begs to differ. I was raised in Grand Prairie, Texas where my husband Kevin and I now reside with our two "children" Peggy (the Dachshund) and Coco (Dachshund not pictured).  I am the oldest of five children and the only girl. When I was growing up, church was not a big priority in our home; however, my mother was adamant that my brother and I attend a Christian school. I became aware of my parents’ struggles when I was in the fifth grade, so it was no surprise when my parents divorced a week before my high school graduation. Needless to say that put a real damper on things. A few years later my father remarried, which is where the other three brothers come in. During my parents’ marriage, my mother struggled with depression and OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). After the divorce, she slowly began to deteriorate even more. In 2003, I moved out on my own while still helping to support my mother and brother financially. In 2004, I noticed a major decrease in my mother’s condition and at the age of 25, I had to commit my 49 year old mother to a mental hospital. After several stays in different hospitals, my mother ended in a nursing home with 24 hour care. During that time, I faithfully attended church and was the leader of the singles ministry. While leading this class, I met Kevin, who I married in April of 2006. I currently struggle with anxiety/depression fatigue and continue to experience grief from my mother’s situation. My mother passed away in January of 2009 at the young age of 53. With my husband and counselor’s assistance, I continue to travel the road of healing. It is my hope through this ministry to share these experiences to help others who suffer from similar struggles. I currently work as a nanny and am working on publishing a children's book series called Pitiful Peggy. Yes, it is about my dogs!! =)

I grew up in a small town in western Pennsylvania where I attended church as a child and teenager. I say attended church because that is what it was for me, I did not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. In 1965 at the age of 18 I married my high school sweetheart. Ten years later the marriage was over and I found myself a single mother. My son Matthew was the one good thing that came from that time of my life and I thank God for him. In 1983 I met Rich, a wonderful Christian man who not only became my husband but also led me to accept Jesus Christ as my personal savior. Over the next 16 years we moved seven times due to the type of job Rich had. After becoming a Christian I realized that even though life has its ups and downs that with Christ as my Savior I am able to press on. That became more of a reality to me in 1999, shortly after we moved to Texas, when Rich was diagnosed with cancer and the Lord called him home six months later. It was then that I leaned on and trusted God more than ever. After making a decision to move to North Carolina where Matt and his family live, God placed another good Christian man in my life and Mike and I were married in July 2002 and we now live in Arlington. My prayer is that through this Ministry I will be able to use my life experiences to help other women through the difficult times and show them that with God in control all things are possible.
Thank You!
